On Friday, May 2, students from Malden High School and 7th and 8th grade students from Malden’s Linden S.T.E.A.M. Academy participated in the Rising Leaders Model United Nations (UN) Conference. Malden students earned four awards at the middle school level and three Honorable Mentions at the high school level.
At the Malden School Committee meeting on Monday, May 5, two Malden students were presented with Citations recognizing their achievements in art. Claire Johnston, a fifth-grader at the Forestdale School, and Hazel Queen, a freshman at Malden High School, both recently won awards for their art.
The Blue and Gold, the student-run newspaper of Malden High School, entered many individual pieces for consideration in the annual New England Scholastic Press Association contest.
